The Xteink X4 and smaller X3 e-readers are discounted to $55.20 (regularly $69) and $63.20 (normally $79), respectively, as part of Amazon’s Prime Day promotions this week. Both e-readers are significantly smaller and more pocketable than any of the Kindle and Kobo models currently available, and feature magnetic mounts so they can be stuck to the back of MagSafe-compatible smartphones. The bundled software is a little rough around the edges, but the versions Amazon is selling can both be easily upgraded to the free CrossPoint Reader firmware featuring a more polished user interface. Xteink X4 e-reader Where to Buy: $69 $55.2 at Amazon $69 at Xteink In our hands-on with the X4, we liked that the e-reader features several buttons that are used to turn the pages of an ebook, but struggled with navigating its sometimes challenging bundled software using buttons in lieu of a touchscreen. Battery life is excellent, and the e-reader provides several different ways to load up books and other documents, but keep in mind you won’t have access to a dedicated online bookstore like Kindles and Kobos feature. Xteink X3 e-reader Where to Buy: $79 $63.2 at Amazon $79 at Xteink The X3’s functionality is similar to the X4, but with a smaller design, an improved button layout, and broader compatibility with smaller smartphones featuring magnetic mounts on the back. It’s even easier to stash in a small pocket, but the X3’s dependence on a proprietary magnetic USB charging cord could be a deal breaker for those prone to losing cables.
ACCRA, Ghana, June 23, 2026/APO Group/ — For decades, tsetse flies posed a major constraint to livestock production in Senegal’s Niayes region, transmitting trypanosomosis – a debilitating disease that reduced cattle productivity and forced farmers to rely on low-yield, disease-tolerant breeds. Eufy’s Omni C28 is almost half off for Prime Day. | Photo by Jennifer Pattison Tuohy / The Verge If you’re in the market for a robot vacuum, Amazon Prime Day has brought a ton of discounts that we’re tracking, but the Eufy Omni C28 is one of the best deals we’ve spotted so far. It’s a great robot vacuum and mop hybrid that offers a number of flagship features without the flagship price. Right now, it’s down to a new low price of $449.99 ($350 off) at Amazon. Eufy Omni C28 Where to Buy: $799.99 $449.99 at Amazon $799.99 $449.99 at Eufy (with code WS24C28200NEW) In her testing, our smart home reviewer Jennifer Pattison Tuohy remarked that she was impressed by how well the Eufy navigates and maneuvers for a roller-mop bot. It easily climbed over the legs of her lounger, which is something that bigger, pricier competitors she’s tested often struggle to do. It also did a great job cleaning along edges and corners, while its relatively narrow design allowed it to squeeze into tight spaces, making it especially well-suited for apartments. Just be sure to clear your floors before sending it out to clean. It lacks a camera like a lot of other robovacs at this price point, which is nice if you’re concerned about privacy, but it results in so-so obstacle detection. Importantly, the robovac is an excellent cleaning machine, picking up dried oatmeal and debris from carpet while its dual spiral roller brushes stayed free of tangles after a week of mopping and vacuuming hard floors and rugs. What’s also impressive is that the C28 can largely take care of itself thanks to its multifunction dock, a feature typically reserved for more expensive robot vacuums. The dock can automatically wash the mop roller with hot water and dry it with hot air, reducing the amount of upkeep required.
