The Sonos Roam 2 is about the size of a small water bottle and comes in multiple colors. | Image: Sonos If your summer plans involve spending any time outdoors, whether on the trail or at a pool party, a good portable Bluetooth speaker can go a long way. The latest Sonos Roam is built precisely for those moments, and right now, it’s on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart for $134 ($45 off) for Memorial Day, matching its lowest price to date. Sonos Roam 2 Where to Buy: $179 $134 at Amazon $179 $134 at Walmart $179 $134 at Best Buy The second-gen Roam builds on what made the original such an impressive Bluetooth speaker for its size. Most notably, it’s much easier to use right out of the box. Unlike the first-gen model, which required you to set it up using the Sonos app over Wi-Fi before you could start listening to music, the newer version lets you pair it over Bluetooth immediately. It now also sports a dedicated Bluetooth pairing button on the back, making it easier to connect to various Bluetooth devices than the OG model, which relied on a single, multi-use button. Otherwise, though, the Sonos Roam 2 is very similar to the original model. The lightweight speaker stands 6.61 inches tall and is roughly the size of a small water bottle, so it’s easy to toss in a backpack. It’s also IP67-rated for dust and water resistance and lasts 10 hours on a single charge, which should be enough for an afternoon at the pool or park. Just as importantly, it sounds great. The second-gen model delivers the same clear sound as the original, with the ability to automatically adjust to your surroundings using Sonos’s Trueplay feature. You can also easily switch between listening to the Roam 2 and other Sonos speakers, too, or even stream audio from a Bluetooth-connected device across the rest of your Sonos system. Its tiny size means you’re not going to get the kind of rich bass you’d get from a dedicated party speaker or the new Sonos Play, but you can pair it with another Roam over Wi-Fi for more robust, stereo sound. Other Memorial Day Sonos deals Sonos Move 2 With double the battery life of its predecessor and better-sounding stereo audio, the Sonos Move 2’s improvements don’t stop there. It supports line-in audio, can stream Bluetooth audio to other Sonos speakers, and more. Read our review. Price is a big barrier for most people who’d like to try out smart glasses for gaming, watching movies, or using their computers. Many models are at $400 and up, but you can snag a refurbished pair of Viture’s Luma Pro USB-C smart glasses for about $271 with the code LONGWEEKEND at eBay. Each set is listed as being in “very good” condition, with “inconspicuous signs of use after being opened by users.” Every refurb purchase is a bit of a gamble versus buying new, but this purchase has a 30-day window for free returns and two years of warranty coverage via Allstate. Viture Luma Pro XR Glasses Where to Buy: $499.99 $271 at eBay (refurbished) Under $300 is a good price to pay for Viture’s midrange smart glasses. They have a 52-degree field of view, and support for up to 1080p resolution. One of the biggest selling points is their built-in diopter dials, letting you finely tune each lens to your vision. They help content look sharper than glasses that use software to simulate these kinds of visual adjustments, including Viture’s newer Beast model, as well as Xreal’s One and One Pro glasses. These smart glasses work well with the Steam Deck, along with other gaming handhelds, laptops, and tablets that can output video over USB-C. They don’t play nicely out of the box with a Nintendo Switch 2, but Viture’s Pro Mobile Dock enables support for the console. That will run you $129 at Amazon, but you can get a big discount on a refurbished model (using the same code LONGWEEKEND) at eBay that knocks it down to $79.20. window.HYPE_DESK_CONFIG = { productImageUrl: "https://s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/assets.sbnation.com/csk/uploads/hype-desk/product-images/macbook+neo.png", productImageAlt: "Apple MacBook Neo", productTitle: "Apple MacBook Neo", shortDescription: "An affordable, well-built laptop for a great price.", longDescription: "Apple's most affordable Mac ever starts at $599, and it does not feel like a compromise. Normally $54.99, it’s now $29.99. That’s a price more in line with the camera’s limited feature set and passable video quality. In order to use it with GameChat on the console, you’ll need to be a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber. With it, you can video chat with friends, and have your video feed used in some fun ways in select games, like Mario Kart World and the new Star Fox. People who love puzzle games should head over to Humble to consider its latest bundle of Steam PC games. The “Perplexing Puzzles” bundle’s $10 tier includes eight games and some coupons, and it’s worth the cost just to get Viewfinder. It’s tough to find respectable gaming handhelds selling at good prices — let alone selling at all. (I’m looking at you, Steam Deck.) However, you can get the Asus ROG Xbox Ally for $499.99 during Best Buy’s Memorial Day sale, which is $100 off. While not the first-ever price cut on this model, it’s worth considering as a model that can run many games well. It has a seven-inch 120Hz refresh rate screen, and three months of Xbox Game Pass Premium is included with purchase. We weren’t impressed with it at launch, but updates since then have made it better.
